In China, Kuan Yin is revered as a Divine Goddess who comes to the aid of her supplicants.  She is known as the Compassionate Saviouress.  Kuan Yin protects families and children.  She is the Patroness of Sailors in the Far East. She never fails to assist those who call to her for aid.
