Healing for America!
While many of us carry on our every-day lives, millions of Americans have been traumatized recently by hurricanes, wildfires, and a mass shooting in Las Vegas. Hurricane Harvey devastated the Houston area in August. Then Hurricanes Irma and Maria decimated the Caribbean Islands and Puerto Rico in September.
My feeling, which is intuitive, and not necessarily scientific, is that the Solar Eclipse of August 21, 2017 packed a huge wallop, and was the precursor to these disasters. The ancients were very wary of eclipses as they often portended horrendous situations such as we have had this year.
Please continue to pray for the folks in Houston whose houses and businesses were damaged or destroyed by days of endless rain and flooding. God bless the Texans who have lost everything. We need to remember that it might take a year or more for all of Houston, Rockport, and Corpus Christi to recover from the storm’s fury. Our hearts go out to everyone in the Lone Star State as they recuperate from this disaster.
Puerto Rico, has a population that is rather poor. To have two strong hurricanes hit the island within 2 weeks has been catastrophic for them. President Trump visited there two weeks ago, and I hope that he is able to help implement some plans in Puerto Rico for re-building and for taking care of the homeless and the hungry.
According to Julia Bellez of Vox Media in Toronto, julia.belez@voxmedia.com, conditions were even worse on little Dominica, just east of Puerto Rico. Prime Minister Skerrit of Dominica pleaded for help as he addressed the recent U.N. General Assembly in New York: “The desolation (of Dominica) is beyond imagination.” At least 30 people have died, and dozens are missing.
Our hearts go out to everyone affected by these dreadful storms, and also to the victims of the California Wildfires. The unprecedented destruction that occurred in Santa Rosa on October 9th is shocking. To see whole neighborhoods gobbled up by fast moving fires, and the heart of the Napa Wine region so badly burned by fire is very distressing.
We are also mourning the loss of so many fine young people and others who lost their lives in Las Vegas. May Angels of Love take you to Heavenly Realms, and may Angels of Peace comfort those who mourn.
I am asking everyone to pray for our fellow Americans who have been traumatized recently. We are with you, we love you, and you are all in our prayers. Hang in there. Things will get better. God bless you all.
